FAQs

Can non-surgical treatments help after a facial injury?

In many cases, yes. Once the area has fully healed and stabilised, non-surgical treatments such as dermal fillers and skin quality treatments can help improve contour, symmetry, and the appearance of scars or volume loss following trauma.

I always ensure that sufficient healing time has passed and that treatment is medically appropriate before proceeding. Your safety and long-term outcomes are my priority.

How long after an injury do I need to wait before having treatment?

This depends on the nature and severity of the injury, any surgery you may have had, and how your tissues have healed. In general, treatment is only considered once healing is complete and swelling and scar maturation have settled.

I’ll assess your individual case carefully and won’t rush treatment. If it’s too early, I’ll explain why and suggest when it may be safer to review in the future.

What kind of improvements can I expect from restorative treatment?

Restorative treatments can help soften irregularities, improve contour, and reduce the visual impact of scars or asymmetry. The aim is not to erase your history, but to help your face feel more balanced and familiar to you again.

I’ll be honest about what non-surgical treatments can achieve and where their limits are. Some concerns may require a referral for surgical input, and I will always be transparent if that’s the case.

Will treatment look obvious or “overdone”?

No – my approach to restorative care is subtle and respectful of your natural features. The aim is for changes to blend in and feel harmonious with the rest of your face, not to draw attention.

I work conservatively and prefer to build results gradually. If at any point I feel a treatment might look unnatural or carry unnecessary risk, I’ll advise against it.
