Nanoneedling Treatment

Nano needling is a very gentle skin rejuvenation treatment that works on the superficial layers of the skin. Nano-needling uses tiny silicone cones to create microscopic channels just within the uppermost layer of the skin. These micro-channels allow active ingredients – such as medical-grade serums – to penetrate more effectively, while also stimulating mild collagen production. The result is brighter, smoother, more hydrated skin with improved texture and glow. Because the treatment is so superficial, it’s an excellent option for patients who want visible skin improvement with little to no downtime. This treatment is also suitable for those who are pregnant and breastfeeding, as it does not penetrate the skin barrier.

This is a really important question. Microneedling works deeper within the skin to stimulate significant collagen production and treat concerns such as acne scarring, deeper lines, and more advanced texture changes. It involves controlled medical needling into the dermis.

Nano needling, by contrast, works only in the very top layer of the skin (the epidermis). It does not create deeper injury, so it’s much gentler. I often use nano needling for improving skin glow, hydration, mild pigmentation, fine lines, and product absorption rather than for scarring.

In simple terms:

• Microneedling = deeper collagen stimulation and corrective treatment
• Nano needling = superficial rejuvenation and enhanced product delivery

Nano needling is very well tolerated and is not painful. Most of my patients describe it as feeling like light vibration across the skin. After treatment, you may experience mild pinkness for a few hours, but most people return to normal activities the same day. There is typically no peeling, bruising, or swelling. Because the treatment is gentle, it can also be repeated more frequently than microneedling if needed.

Many patients notice an immediate improvement in skin radiance and smoothness after just one session. However, for longer-lasting results, I usually recommend a course of treatments spaced a few weeks apart.
